Muskie On The Fly

Here's on for you Snowbirds enjoying the awesome fall fishing in Packer country right now.  This is my buddy Don Atkinson with a beautiful pair of muskies he caught on fly in northern Wisconsin with guide Bill Sherer.  They call this species the "fish of a thousand casts" and while that might discourage some anglers, Don clearly hit the jackpot with at least two of his throws.  It's been over twenty years since I landed a muskie but they're the best looking thing that swims in fresh waters and these photos make me want to chase them again real soon.
